Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Analyst Edge Solutions collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Introduction
Analyst Edge Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") operates an online platform providing software products and technology services to eligible international customers. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We are based in India. We have designed our platform with privacy and applicable data-protection requirements in mind, including principles reflected in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and comparable regimes, as well as the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) where applicable.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly:
- Name and email address
- Country of residence or business
- Customer type (individual or company) and company name where applicable
- Phone number (optional)
- Business registration or tax identifiers where applicable
- Payment reference information you supply when submitting a manual payment
- Communications with us (support tickets, contact form submissions, live chat messages)
2.2 Information collected automatically:
- IP address, user-agent string, and derived device, browser, and operating-system information
- Login history and session events
- Pages viewed and actions taken within the platform
- Download and licence activation events
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (country, region, city, and approximate coordinates)
- A non-reversible device fingerprint generated by your browser (see Section 3)
2.3 Information we do not collect:
- We do not store full payment card numbers or CVVs. Payments are processed by third-party gateways or made manually via bank transfer or cryptocurrency.
- We do not collect government-issued identity documents unless this is required for a specific compliance review and requested separately.
3. AI Chat and Automated Data Collection
Our website offers a live chat feature ("AI Chat") that provides automated assistance and enables handover to a human agent. Because the AI Chat feature involves collecting and processing additional data, we describe it separately.
3.1 What we collect when you use AI Chat
- The messages you send to us and the replies you receive (including AI-generated replies and any replies from our human agents);
- Your IP address at the time of the conversation;
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (country, region, city, approximate coordinates), resolved via our geolocation provider;
- Your browser, operating system, and device type, derived from your user-agent string;
- A device fingerprint (a non-reversible identifier computed from browser characteristics such as screen resolution, timezone, language, and rendering behaviour), stored as a "machine ID". This fingerprint is used only to recognise returning sessions and to detect abuse. It does not identify you personally and cannot be used to track you across other websites;
- Timestamps of your interactions with the chat.
3.2 Consent gate
Before we start collecting any data through the AI Chat, we display a consent notice that explains what data will be collected and why. We do not collect IP address, approximate location, device fingerprint, or any chat message until you affirmatively accept the consent notice. If you do not accept, the AI Chat is disabled and no data is collected through it. You can decline the notice and continue to use the rest of the website.
3.3 How AI processing works
Chat messages are processed by a third-party AI service (see Section 6) to generate automated replies. Messages may be sent to that provider in order to produce a response. We do not use your chat messages to train our own AI models, and we configure our integration to minimise data retention on the provider's side as far as the provider's terms allow.
3.4 When a human agent joins
If you request a human agent, or the AI system escalates your conversation, a member of our support team may join the conversation. Before escalation, we ask for your name and email address so that we can follow up with you. Support staff see the full conversation history, including the technical information described in Section 3.1 above, so they can provide accurate assistance.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Process orders and issue licences and deliverables
- Verify payments and issue invoices
- Screen customers and transactions in line with applicable sanctions and export-control requirements
- Provide customer support, including via the AI Chat and handover to a human agent
- Send transactional emails (order confirmation, licence issuance, security alerts)
- Detect, prevent, and investigate security incidents, abuse, and fraud
- Comply with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Improve the platform, its security, and the quality of our support
5. Legal Bases
Where GDPR or similar regimes apply, we process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the products and services you request, including the AI Chat and any resulting support.
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable tax, accounting, sanctions, and export-control requirements.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our services. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies, marketing communications, and the collection of IP address, approximate location, and device fingerprint through the AI Chat consent gate. You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Sharing of Information and Third-Party Processors
We may share personal information with the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers โ our hosting provider stores the platform and database, including account data, order data, and chat records. Our current primary hosting provider is Hostinger.
- AI processing providers โ chat messages and limited conversation context are sent to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) for the purpose of generating AI replies. We have configured our integration to disable model training on our API data as far as the provider's enterprise terms allow.
- Geolocation providers โ your IP address is sent to ipapi.co to resolve approximate location (country, region, city, coordinates). ipapi.co does not receive your name, email, or chat content.
- Payment processors โ where you pay by payment gateway, your payment details are handled by the gateway. We do not receive full card data.
- Email delivery providers โ used to send transactional emails (order confirmations, licence delivery, security notifications).
- Compliance and screening providers โ where required to perform sanctions or export-control screening.
- Professional advisors โ accountants, auditors, and lawyers, under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities โ where required by law, court order, or applicable regulatory request.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7. International Transfers
We are based in India and may use service providers located in other jurisdictions, including providers located in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, consistent with applicable law. These may include standard contractual clauses, or reliance on the provider's own adequacy mechanisms where available.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy:
- Account data โ until you close your account, subject to the retention periods below;
- Order, invoice, and payment records โ for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 8 years);
- Compliance and sanctions-screening records โ as required by applicable law;
- AI Chat conversations and associated technical data (IP, approximate location, device fingerprint) โ typically up to 12 months after the conversation closes, unless a longer period is required for an active support, compliance, or dispute matter;
- Consent records โ retained for as long as we process the associated data, plus a reasonable period afterward, so that we can demonstrate that consent was properly obtained;
- Login and security logs โ typically 12 months;
- Support tickets โ typically 2 years after closure.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements);
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@analystedgesolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically within 30 days under GDPR).
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies required for login, session management, and security. Where required, we also ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies (analytics, preferences). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
The AI Chat widget uses a device fingerprint (as described in Section 3) rather than a tracking cookie to recognise returning sessions. This fingerprint is not used to track you on other websites and is not shared with advertising networks.
11. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, two-factor authentication options, access controls, and audit logging. For more detail, see our Security page.
12. Children
Our services are not directed to persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes โ for example, to the categories of data we collect through AI Chat or to our third-party processors โ we will notify you by email or through the platform. The effective date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
